Installation

In 2020 i graduated from ------ cognitive studies, covid year, digitalisation and reframing of educational paradigm

In 2022 when I lived in Istanbul ------- I once came to a mosque and learned about Niyyah, it has been a defining guiding principle for all my work ever since

That time for me was a period of loss and separation, I was in crushed spirits. The year began with war, although  — the Russian media would call “special military operation”, the Western media would dub it “full-scale invasion of Ukraine”,

In 2023 I was researching the ai as llms boomed ---- these topics have always been of interest to me and now i witnessed in real time how they finally moving from theory / science fiction realm to practice / real world. The narrative of AI replacing humans came into focus and milestone after mileston ai could do things that were thought of as being unique to humans. Human nature vs algorithms, natural vs artificial, mind vs consciousness. For me the thing that was uniquely human was niyyah.

At weißensee, in my projects and research, i was focusing on these things and drew a lot of insight from john lovelock, james bridle, xxxx. Pauline’s seminars, ecology, parasitic relationships, utopias, Bona’s and Anton’s sonic discourse, afrofuturism and africanfuturism. First iteration of niyyah installation as a ritualistic xxxx. Developed into who is talking in my heads installation at floating. In parallel: Nasan’s input, social issues, capitalism, commodification of culture, squatkit, russian invasion of ukraine == what future can hold for the west, parallels between the imperialist societies, guiltpride. Viron’s project at the wasserturm, club culture outside clubs.

In August 2024, I settled on the installation idea and started my research for the thesis project.

Working at panke and panke gallery, i did ....... I saw many different events come to life, being directly involved in how they happened but not in why they happened. The why was often evasive, limited to the inner circle.

On April 8th, I decided to include the mini-documentary in the runtime of the installation. The plan was to record a series of interviews with Simon, Vivi and Toni, Paulah, Paulawar, Khaled, Carpatos and Artur.
